Music is a huge part of my life. It soothes me when I'm anxious. It comforts me when I'm blue. It influences my productivity and creativity. It can incite both laughter and tears. Certain songs have such a strong association with a person or a moment or a feeling, that I am instantly taken back to a place or time in my mind. I can quickly change the tone in my home by playing either an upbeat playlist, or if needed, a calming one. I find that on days when I listen to worship music all day, I feel a heightened sense of the Holy Spirit all around me.

How powerful.

I have all kinds of music playing at my house throughout the day. I want my kids to hear it and to love it as much as I do. We listen to everything from country music, to rap, to worship, to classical. And one of my favorite things to do is to make playlists. If you've ever visited my blog, you may know how much I enjoy sharing these playlists with people.

I thought I would share one with you here today, specifically curated for your kids! It's been a goal of mine to find really good Christian music for my kids to listen to. Read between the lines here...I want to build a collection of non-cheesy, non-kidzboppy, amazing music that will fill their hearts with truth and goodness. I want these lyrics to get stuck in their minds and replayed in their hearts over and over. And even though I made this list with your kids in mind, I promise you will love it just as much! It’s upbeat and fun and perfect for when you need a little mood booster. And for all those fellow moms who rocked out to DCTalk in your high school youth group, you know I had to introduce our kids to Jesus Freak!
