During difficult times, we struggle to find a way to make sense of things in our hearts. We struggle to explain to our children why things happen. We want to come alongside you and help you find a peace in your heart and pray peace and understanding for your children. We want to point you to the gospel, because Jesus is always the answer. It’s our desire to see the body of Christ come together and show the world what unity and love looks like, and we believe this may begin in the lives of our children. Let’s mend our hearts and create a safe space to pray and walk with our families through hard times.

DAY ONE: PRAYING FOR OUR HEARTS

REFLECT ON THIS SCRIPTURE
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

SAY THIS PRAYER
Lord, you alone are the source of my hope. Will you help me to trust you? Thank you that you continually fill me with your joy and your peace as I look to you. Holy Spirit, fill me, that I may overflow with your hope to my children and to those you put in my path.

REFLECT ON THIS SCRIPTURE
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
Romans 8:38

SAY THIS PRAYER
Lord, I want to live convinced of this rock-solid truth from your Word: nothing will ever separate me from your love. Not my worst fears, not my failures, nothing. Your love is unfailing. God, would this change how I think about today, and how I pray about tomorrow. Help me to trust you with joy, because I am continuously in your love.

REFLECT ON THIS SCRIPTURE
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

SAY THIS PRAYER
Father, when I am tempted to fear, will you remind me of your constant presence? Thank you that because you are with me, I never have to sit in fear or discouragement. You have prepared the way before me, and you are at my side. Lord, give me the courage to live a life of love and obedience to you.
